Make ready 250 gms fresh paneer (in a pan add one tbsp oil and fry the paneer till light to golden brown and set aside)

Make ready 1 tbs ginger garlic paste

Make ready 1/4 th cup curd whisked well
Take Half cup water
Prepare 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Get 1/2 tsp chilli powder
Get 1 tsp coriander powder
Make ready 2 pinch garam masala
Take To taste Salt
Take 3 tbs oil
Take Whole spices
Prepare 1 bay leaf
Prepare 1 (1 inch) cinnamon stick
Prepare 2 cloves
Take 2 green cardamoms
Get 1 black cardamom
Instructions to make Methi Paneer:
In a non stick pan heat oil. Add the whole spices and sauté for few seconds till they become fragrant
Add chopped onions and fry till golden brown on low to medium flame
Add finger garlic paste and green chilli. Sauté well for few minutes
Add tomato purée and fry well for few minutes till the raw aroma goes away
Add coriander and fry for 2-3min
Add turmeric, chilli, coriander and garam masala and fry for 3-4min
Add in the chopped methi leaves and cook for 5 min
Turn the flame off and add the whisked curd and stir well
Add 1/2 cup water and mix again
Keep the pan on stove top on low flame. Cover and cook for 10-15 min till you can see oil specks on top
Add paneer cubes and salt and mix well
Cover and cook for 5 min
