  1. Take 2 tablespoons olive oil or bacon grease

  5. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon fresh black Pepper

Steps to make Candied Brussels sprouts:
  1. If using fresh brussels sprouts wash them and trim the ends and cut in half
  2. In a large skillet add olive oil, brussels sprouts, salt, pepper and garlic powder and mix up throughly. Cook on medium high heat stirring occasionally add in 2 tablespoons water if using fresh. Cook till Brussels sprouts are tender and lightly charred looking
  3. Stir in brown sugar and bacon and drizzle on maple syrup and add butter and mix throughly
