  1. Wash dal in running water and Soak dal in water for 10 minutes.

  3. Heat butter in tadka pan. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add red chilli powder and garam masala.
  4. Mix this tadka in dal pan and cook on low flame for 2 minutes. Add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
  5. Serve hot with rice and salad.
